As many of my patient's know, I have been talking a lot about the incredible little dog I started taking care of named Rusty. This dog (and his wonderful owners) amazed me and his story is one I love to brag about. Rusty was referred to me by Dr. Smith from Ark Animal Hospital in Chalfont, PA. I have just started to form an excellent relationship with this office and I am starting to get a stream of referrals from them.
When I got the phone call about Rusty I was very excited to take care of him. Rusty became my oldest "doggie chiropractic patient" at the age of 17 years old!!! When I met Rusty, you would have never known he was 17. It took 3 people, I call them his bodyguards, to bring the little Norwich Terrier to the office. You can see it in everyone's eyes, he is one loved dog.
To my surprise Rusty was in excellent physical shape. He has what I call, "old age syndrome", but he is in otherwise great shape. The owners main complaint was his legs were starting to give out and he has a hard time on smooth surfaces. This is very common in older dogs, even half Rusty's age. I chose to do very gentle treatments and focused mainly on using the Erchonia Cold Laser.
After 2 treatments Rusty has been much more mobile. He was doing so well he decided to jump off his crate while he was getting his daily pampering. I decided to make a house call yesturday to see him. I was excited to see he was doing fine and made a lier out of his owners!
Thank you to Rusty's wonderful owners and an incredible veterinarian for allowing me to take care of him. Thanks for the cake and lemonade too!!!
